The drums are reconditioned in the following manner:
- 4-section external and internal washing
- drum structure and geometry enhancement by means of:
- lid/ bottom straightening with additional rolling of connections between the lid/ bottom and the drum’s side
- mechanical and pneumatic straightening of the drum’s side
- drum disinfection and sterilization
- internal drying
- finishing work on the drum’s external surface:
- external shot-blasting
- external paint in (RAL colours)
- drying
- cap replacement
- final drum inspection and classification
IBC reconditioning includes:
- mechanical repair of the pallet and steel frame
- external wash
- internal pressure wash with detergents
- internal pressure wash with hot water
- internal drying
- automatic leakage test according to ADR guidelines
- valve or tote replacement, as needed
