A positive result of the tests gives a right to mark each item of IBC (DPPL) corresponding to its model construction type with “UN” marking.

Requirements for construction, testing and exploitation are defined by the provisions of the ADR Agreement, in sections 4.1 and 6.5, and in the scope of utilisation period, in particular in the following points:

4.1.1.15  –  indicated maximum exploitation period of such packaging, that is 5 years from its production date; exception: when the competent authority determines shorter period resulting from the properties of transported material – some DPPL used to transport nitric acid can be exploited only for 2 years

6.5.4.4.1the indicated period 2.5 year for indirect test[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][ultimate_spacer height=”33″][vc_column_text][dt_quote type=”pullquote” layout=”right” font_size=”H3″ animation=”none” size=”1″]Each metal DPPL, synthetic DPPL and DPPL consisting of synthetic tank is subject to preliminary and period tests[/dt_quote][/vc_column_text][ultimate_spacer height=”33″][ultimate_spacer height=”33″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

All repairs are made in workshops authorised by TDT and on the basis of individually determined documentation. DPPL damaged by hit for other reason should be repaired in such way and scope so that it corresponds to construction type. Synthetic DPPL and inner containers of complex DPPL are not subject to repair and should be replaced. After repair, DPPL is subject to full tests and trials in such scope as during the preliminary test. New dates of periodic tests may be determined, starting from the date of completing tests after the repair.

After periodic tests performed by TDT, if the result is positive, the containers are marked in the following manner:

  • XX/YY/ inspector feature /ZZZ
  • XX – month during which leakage test was performed,
  • YY – the last two numbers of a year during which the aforementioned test was performed
  • Inspector feature TDT
  • ZZZ – consecutive number of a protocol of the TDT inspector performing the test in a given calendar year

Protocols are prepared from the conducted tests and transferred to the owner of DPPL. The protocol of the test and trail should be kept at least until the next test or trial.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][ultimate_spacer height=”33″][vc_single_image image=”1048″ img_size=”full” alignment=”right”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][ultimate_spacer height=”33″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”1054″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

DPPL should not be filled and used for transport after the lapse of the expiry date of the last periodic test or control. DPPL filled before the lapse of the expiry date of the last periodic control can be transported for period no longer than three months after the expiry date of the last periodic test or control. Additionally, DPPL can be transported after the lapse of the expiry date of the last periodic test or control:

– after emptying and prior to cleaning in order to perform required test or control before being filled again.

– unless the competent authority did not decide otherwise, in period no longer than 6 months starting from the date of the expiry date of the last periodic test or control allowing for returning dangerous materials or their remainders in order to liquidate them or for their secondary usage.
